A Work of Art Thank You Card

By | May 9, 2016

Hey folks!  Today’s project is a “Work of Art” thank you card.  It features the Stampin’ Up! stamp set- Work of Art.  To begin, I started with a sketch here.  Thank You Card

After I took my Whisper White cardstock and folded in half (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″), I stamped the background with a hardwood stamp.  I used the ink Soft Suede to give it that true wood color.

Next, the sketch called for 2 circles in opposite corners.  I punched out 2 big circles using the 2 1/2″ circle punch.  Behind that- see the green  piece of paper on the sketch?  Well, I used some gold vellum for that.  Gold, Pink and Brown go together like coffee and donuts!

To make this butterfly, use your Big Shot Machine and the Butterflies Thinlits dies.  I also used the gold vellum for this and then added some enamel dots for the body.  Aren’t they ridiculously cute???

To give it a little  extra pop, I heat embossed the sentiment onto black cardstock.  Just wow!  It really jumps off the page, doesn’t it?  To see more heat embossing cards, click here.
