How to Create a Shaker Card

Hi Friends! Today I am going to show you how to create a Shaker Card using the Paper Pumpkin kit from this month.  A shaker card is where you create a “window” so to speak on your card and put sequins or glitter in it.  Or anything else you may want.

I used the Paper Pumpkin kit from this month and created an alternate project.  If you are unfamiliar with Paper Pumpkin, it is a subscription for a monthly kit that ships to your door, filled with stamp sets, ink and more for only $20!  To read more about it click here.  You may also want to subscribe to my YouTube channel as I will be uploading a video on how I created this card later this week.

Okay, onto our card. I started with a sketch.

The only thing not included in this kit was the window sheet for the “window” and the Blackberry Bliss cardstock that I cut the oval out of.

I used the Ovals Collection framelits on my Big Shot Machine to cut the window sheet and oval frame and attached the window sheet to the frame using Fast Fuse adhesive because it is such a strong adhesive!  I then adhered Stampin’ Dimensionals to the frame.

I had to cut the dimensionals down smaller so that they would fit behind such a small frame.

Then, I just threw some sequins in there from the kit and placed the frame on top.

Added some stickers and that was it!

This is the original card that the kit wanted you to make.
