It’s been awhile since we chatted about Paper Pumpkin. If you are unfamiliar with these, they are craft kits put out by Stampin’ Up! every month with the stamp sets and supplies to make either cards or home decor projects. It’s a subscription service so you don’t even have to think about them.
If you are short on time like most of us these days but LUUUV to craft- it’s really the ideal solution. Stampin Up! designs the project(s) and sends you all the coordinating goodies.
I’ll be frank. (no- don’t call me FRANK). Ok, I’ll be honest. I was super excited to get these kits when they first rolled out. Then when I opened the packages… well, not so much. They kinda stunk. People complained. It wasn’t a “slam dunk” as they say.
But THEN…. apparently the good witch came to town and hit Stampin’ Up! people over the head with her magic wand.
SU! changed them up. Now, I can honestly say they rock. And while I like each kit differently, the best part is the stamp set. EVERY SINGLE MONTH you get a new stamp set that you can’t get anywhere else. And they kinda kick butt. For real.
This video is from the kit we received in July:
Let’s take a look at some of the cards I just created with these kits. I used the stamp set from the June 2016 kit to create both of these cards. The one on the bottom used all products exclusive to that month while the one at the top here, just used the stamp.
I used Washi tape that I accidentally ordered. Yep- I typed in the wrong product number but I was so excited to receive it!! I never would have ordered it and I love it. It’s called Affectionately Yours. Cute background!! I am using washi tape more than ribbon now to save on postage and prevent my cards from getting destroyed at the post office!!
If you want to roll the dice and get all wild & crafty, I highly suggest you take another look at these freaking adorable kits. (They also make a really cool gift for Christmas too) We offer 3 month subscriptions to try out and guess what- you no likey- that’s okay. It’s commitment free (like my brother). You can cancel or put your account on hold at any time.
