Stampin Up Easter Ideas

Are you looking for some different ideas to make for Easter?  Well, let me show you this adorable gift box- made using all Stampin Up product!  I gave this to a dear friend after filling it with chocolate and jelly beans- yummy!

Stampin Up Easter Ideas

These boxes are so quick and easy to make!  Plus, we double reinforce the lid so it makes it more durable.  And let’s face it- it just feels “nicer” in our hands!

Stampin Up Easter Ideas

You can see how to build this box using all the directions from this blog post here.  Just use a smaller paper size- this was 6 x 6″.  The Egg was colored in with a Blender Pen and Daffodil Delight ink.  I started with the ink on the left side of the egg and just kept moving the pen back and forth without re-inking so that it gradually got lighter.  I absolutely love coloring with the Blender Pen for this exact reason!

Stampin Up Easter Ideas

The Ovals were cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and Layering Ovals Framelits.  Simple and easy project that your recipient is going to love!

Easter Treats

Hello everybody!  I hope you are having a wonderful week!  Today I’m going to share with you what we made during Thursday Theater- Easter Treats.  One that I created alone and the other that the wonderful folks who joined me live helped to create.

Easter Treats

First, we made the carrot.  It measures 6 x 6″ before you roll it up.

Next, we made the bunny bag.  I think we all agreed how absolutely ADORABLE this bunny is! It’s a good thing I had help because I got stuck on a few things, but my trusty friends spoke up and told me what to use or gave awesome suggestions!

Easter Treats

And… anyone that leaves me a comment on the Facebook video will be entered to win those projects!

How to Make A Quilt Card

How To Make A Quilt Card

Hi Friends.  Today I’m going to show you a popular trend happening in the card making world.  And that is how to make a quilt card.  Or a card that looks like a quilt?  You know what I’m saying… ha ha ha

So how can you make that centerpiece?  Well, to begin with, you will need to cut 4 squares of paper.  Each one was 1″.  Then, cut the squares with scissors like I’ve shown you in the picture below.

How To Make A Quilt Card Angela's Ink Link

Now that you have the pieces ready, you will start to put them in place on the white square.  (This square was made by using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Big Shot machine)

Start with the larger pieces first.

Then place the smaller yellow pieces in, lining them up with the pink.  Now, they aren’t going to be perfectly symmetrical, but… I found one good way to hold them in place was to use post-it note holders.

I used the post-it notes to keep them in place while I glued each one down.

Basket Bunch

By | March 20, 2017

Basket Bunch

In todays project, I’m creating a card using the cutest stamp set Basket Bunch and the coordinating die set- Basket Builder.  It feels like it’s been winter for 10 years where I live with plenty of snow still on the ground and overcast days.  I need to add a whole lot of color to my projects to brighten things up!

Basket Bunch

I started with a sketch over at MOJO Monday.  Then, I chose the stamp set and colors.  It all came together pretty fast, actually.  You can see the list of supplies I used below.  If you really love this card, then you should check out the class or kit to-go I’m offering below.  Early bird ends Thursday.

Dragonfly Dreams

By | March 17, 2017

Dragonfly Dreams

Is it spring where you are yet?  We are on the brink here in New England, although winter is going out with a lion.  As I write this, there is snow falling outside my window.  Sigh… BUT, this card puts me in the mood for spring.  The popular Dragonfly Dreams stamp set is being carried over into the new catalog and this makes everybody happy!!

Dragonfly Dreams

Dragonfly Dreams

All the products that were used are listed below.  (and hey- did you know that if you click on the products, it takes you directly to the store to purchase them?)

Notice that die cut black Dragonfly underneath?  Well, rather than use a scrap piece of black, I cut it out of the layer of black cardstock from underneath.  Getting used to using up that layer underneath is a great way to save a little bit of money when you’re crafting!

Dragonfly Dreams

I wanted the wings to pop up a little so I only adhered the body of the Dragonfly.  You could use glue dots or the Multipurpose liquid glue.  If you use the liquid glue, just make sure to only use tiny amounts so it doesn’t squish out from the sides.

Succulent Garden floral paper Stampin’ Up! card

By | March 12, 2017

Succulent Garden floral paper Stampin’ Up! card

Some of you may already know this, but I am not a “floral” card person.  Very rarely do I make cards with flowers.  I am more of a modern, bright colors and trendy card kinda girl.  And… I don’t like a lot of “stuff” on my cards.  So when I sat down to re-create this card from the Spring Occasions catalog, it came as a surprise to me- ha ha.  Isn’t it fun when you can surprise yourself?  Anyway- the Succulent Garden floral paper was just calling to me.  It screams spring and I luuuuuv the colors!

Succulent Garden floral paper Stampin' Up! card

Succulent Garden floral paper Stampin' Up! card

At first glance you may think that 2 different colors were used on these flowers.  But not so… to get this super cool look, you would ink the inside of the flower first, stamp on scrap paper, and THEN stamp onto your white cardstock.  Then, ink up the stamped outline of the flower and stamp down directly on top of that.  This gives it the darker outline color without having to use 2 different ink pads.  Cool yes?

This card is super cute and you can see the original in the catalog as I mentioned at the top of this post.  If you don’t have a catalog or demonstrator yet, send me an email and I’d be happy to get one out to you!  Free of charge 🙂

Below are all the products I used in this card.  Keep an eye out for a new class coming using all of these gorgeous products!

Dragonfly Dreams

By | March 10, 2017

Dragonfly Dreams

In this elegant project, I’ve used the classic colors of gold and black to really showcase the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set.

Dragonfly Dreams

This is a very popular bundle (both the stamp set and the die cuts) and will be continued over into the new catalog.  This is great news because it means we can create lots more cards and projects to show you! Yay!

Okay, so  this card starts out by stamping the Dragonfly and the decorative dots in Versamark, adding some gold embossing powder and heat setting it with a heat tool.  For more projects using the heat tool, click here.

Dragonfly Dreams

Then, cut out the Dragonfly on the Big Shot machine using the matching framelits and black cardstock.  Glue the Dragonfly down on top of the gold embossed Dragonfly using glue dots.  I would just put the flue on the main part of the Dragonfly’s body so it doesn’t get all gunky.  (Yes, that’s my technical term, ha ha)

Work of Art

By | March 6, 2017

Work of Art

This card ended up looking a bit like the American flag in a way but it certainly wasn’t what I was shooting for- a happy surprise.  Work of Art is a super versatile stamp set and I bet you’ll be surprised that I only used a few inks to make this.

Work of Art

So how did I create it?  Well, to begin with, I stamped on the Very Vanilla cardstock first.  I started at the bottom and worked my way up.  I have no reason as to why I didn’t go top to bottom- I’m weird like that sometimes, ha ha.

I stamped the image in Bermuda Bay and then without cleaning or re-inking the stamp, I stamped 2 more times above it.  Then, I switched to Real Red and did the same thing.  It’s a miracle that it was spaced evenly because I honestly didn’t do anything to make it that way.  I’m an “eyeball it” kind of girl.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and then heat set with White Emboss powder and a heat tool.  I cut it out using the Big Shot and Layering Circles Framelits.

The Builder Owl Punch is how I got the cute little flowers and then I finished it off with rhinestones, ribbon and enamel dots.  For the full supply list, you can scroll down.
