This card is super trendy and not your traditional Christmas card.
As you may have guessed by now, I don’t make very “traditional” cards. My cards are more modern, more funky and usually without any flowers. I like cards that are a bit edgy and cute looking. I also don’t use a lot of “stuff” on my cards. I like as little clutter as possible so that the recipient isn’t overwhelmed. Plus, I’m a Mom of only boys. I’ve got a house filled with them. My husband, kids, dogs, frog.. ya you name it. Not a whole lot of pink going on here and so I’m always looking for alternative cards. In fact, I think I’ve only made 2 or 3 purple cards in the 10 years I’ve been doing this. Are you baffled? ha ha… blue also happens to be my favorite color, so you tend to see a lot of blue cards too.
Now, you may be wondering where I got the circle from in the center of this card, with the stitching on it. I’m sad to say that it is not a Stampin’ Up! product, however you could make one similar. The framelit came from Lawn Fawn. If you have Stampin’ Up! framelits or punches, you could create a circle and either draw the stitching on it, or punch out the paper using a paper piercing tool to create the same effect. I’m not ashamed to say that I was just pure lazy when I made this and took the easy way out, ha ha ha. Hey- it happens, am I right?
Thanks for tuning in today! Happy Hump Day.
