I love this card. Isn’t it sweet? I thought the sentiment from the Layering Love stamp set was perfect to send to my cousin who is recovering from a double mastectomy. She is super strong, but who can’t use a little encouragement, right?
I even stamped the little hearts on the outside of the envelope to help tie it all together. If you don’t already know, when you have a bulky card or an embellishment like this ribbon that will stick out through the envelope, you have to pay a little bit more postage. You also have to ask the post office to “hand cancel” the envelope so they don’t try to run it through the machine which not only mangles your card, but might ruin the machine! You can either go into the Post Office and ask for it to be hand cancelled, or you can just write “hand cancel” on the envelope. Personally, I go in and ask. And because I go in pretty often, I find it helps to bring them goodies like chapsticks or hand sanitzers, or chocolate 🙂
So the ribbon I used in this card is retired, but you can still find different kinds of Always Artichoke ribbon in the new catalog to order. In fact, I’ve got all the supplies listed below- you can just click on them to order or read more about them.
Last week, I went over the new holiday catalog a tiny bit and then showed you how to make some cool cards and ornaments from our new kits. You can check out the video down below.
Painted Harvest Class
Painted Harvest is going to be THE most popular stamp set that Stampin’ Up! has to offer this fall. Don’t miss out on owning it- it’s absolutely gorgeous! The images look like you took a picture yourself- not your typical stamp!I knew as soon as I saw this set in the new holiday catalog, that it had to be the first one I did for the fall! Not only are the images amazing because of their “real life” quality, you can use them all year round for every season and the sentiments are just gorgeous! I’ve designed 3 cards, each featuring a sentiment from the set. In addition, I’m going to teach you how to make this super cute sunflower treat holder to match.
This class will show you how to create 3 different card designs for a total of 6 cards and envelopes and one treat holder.
