Happy Easter Everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day with your family and friends. Today is extra special for us because….
My little man turns 8 today!
He is an amazing kid, full of spunk who makes each day a true adventure. I can simultaneously be pulling my hair out and laughing at his stunts. And how lucky we are to get to see our family and celebrate with them on this day! This is the card I made for the “peanut” as I like to call him..
This card was so much fun to make. First of all, I wanted to use Summer Starfruit since that color will be going away. It is retiring soon. In fact, the retiring list for Stampin’ Up! comes out tomorrow to make room for all the new catalog goodies coming in June! I also wanted to make a card that looked like Owls were in a tree. I saw a picture of a card that had a lion in the grass and I wanted to do something similar but different. I used the edgeless to cut multiple pieces and then I bent the fiber in the cardstock with a bone folder. Then, I pieced them on top of each other in order of color. I used the “Baby, We’ve Grown” stamp set AGAIN!!! This stamp set ROCKS.. to see other projects created with this set, click here.
So, the supplies used to create this card were:
Stamp sets: Bring on the Cake, Baby We’ve Grown, Just Sayin’
Cardstock: Summer Starfruit, Old Olive, Gumball Green, Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist
Ink: StazOn Black, Marina Mist
Accessories: Adorning Accents Edgelits, Word Bubbles Framelits
And this is my little man…
If you have a minute.. wish him a Happy Birthday below! He will LOVE IT!
