Happy Birthday Card using the Balloon Bash Stamp Set and Paper Piercing Tools to add texture

By | November 10, 2015

Good morning everybody. Today’s project starts with the sketch from Mojo Monday. You can view that sketched here.
Because it is fall in New England, I wanted to use rich colors for my birthday card. I started with Rose Red and then looked for colors that would complement it which ended up working out with Navy and Artichoke.
Next, I stamped the sentiment in StazOn ink on Whisper White paper. Then I cut it out using the Circles Collection Framelits. I have been using those a lot lately. I guess I’m in a circle mood. Do you ever go through phases like that we use the same things over and over again?

Once I had the sentiment matted on top of the square piece of Rose Red paper, I laid my Paper Piercing Pack on top of it to line up the circles. I then choose the circle that was a little bit bigger and with my piercing total punched holes all around the White Cardstock.
I did the same thing with pendant strip going across the card. I just randomly poked circles throughout the card to give it added texture, but make sure to be careful not to put too many circles in because you could disintegrate your paper and that would not be good. Let’s try and keep your cards intact, shall we?

All the supplies used to make this card are listed below.  If you have any questions about how to make this card I would love to answer them for you. Just leave a comment below, and I’ll get back to you right away. Thanks for stopping by today.
