Today’s project has an encouragement theme. Originally, when I saw this hostess stamp set (Best Thoughts), I fell in love with the flower. It’s a hydrangea (I think) and those are my favorite flowers! I don’t know what other areas of the country have these everywhere, but here in New England, they are everywhere. Especially down on Cape Cod.
Anyway, I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve used this stamp set. WHAT? I know, I know. Why not? I have no idea- so it was time to break this bad boy out!
To begin with, I brought together what I had in the colors Soft Suede, Hello Honey and Old Olive. Very appropriate for fall I think. The background paper came from the small paper stack, Pretty Petals. The Hello Honey square is 3″ x 3″ and the Vanilla circle was created using the Circles Collection Framelits on the Big Shot.
Now, the embossing was fun because I used our newer ink pads with the foam top, not the old felt stamp pads. So because our newer ink pads are foam and super juicy, I was able to pour the Clear Embossing Powder on top of it without having to use Versamark or Heat and Stick Powder. The embossing powder adhered to it and I heated it with the heat tool. Tada! Love embossing! I think the rest is pretty self explanatory, yes? Oh- I took my scraps of the Pretty Petals paper and lined the envelope. Cute, right? Hope you like it!
Be sure to get on my mailing list if you’re not already there! The 12 Weeks of Christmas has already begun!
