Create A Birthday Card
Hey guys- I am so excited to share with you how I create a birthday card using the new Stampin’ Up! catalog! To begin with, I find a project that I like and circle it. You see the picture below of page 13 where I circled a few projects that really hit me.
Sometimes I have all the “ingredients” to make the card and sometimes I don’t. I may like the color combination, or the design and layout of the card.
SO… I try to re-create the card. Sometimes it’s identical, sometimes I change a few things.
Okay, so I wanted to begin with the card on the bottom right hand side. ADORABLE right? AND.. bonus, I have this set called “Birthday Blooms”. Now, it’s time to create a card.
I’m not really a “purple” person. Ask anyone who knows me. I don’t think I even own anything purple. So, I changed this card to “pink”.
Now you can see that I changed the colors from Purpleand Yellow of the card in the catalog to Pink and Brown on my card. I also didn’t have the ribbon from the card in the book, so I used some retired ribbon I had on hand.
I know we all sometimes get stuck on how to start to build our card, so I wanted to remind you to use your catalog! Even older ones- save those- they are a great resource!
I am going to work my way through the entire catalog so be sure to keep an eye out on this blog for more cool card creations!
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions about this project!
