Yep, it’s a Birthday week for sure!
This time, it’s for a super kid that is turning 11. He is definitely one of a kind and we are so happy to have him in our lives. Ben has been another longtime friend of my son, going back to their baby days. This card is different from any other kind of card I’ve done. I wanted something a little bit funky, a little bit tie-dye, a little bit fun, a little bit different. That pretty much describes Ben 🙂
Are you guys sick of this stamp set yet? “Baby We’ve Grown” has become one of my most used sets EVER! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.. it’s so VERSATILE! I am making a birthday card for an 11 year old boy with it. HELLO?? It’s just awesome!
So like I said.. a little bit tie-dye. Because Ben’s mom sells tie-dye clothing. Ben is almost ALWAYS wearing tie-dye so naturally..
I used my Stampin’ Up! water based markers for the stamp set. I started to color the stamp directly with the yellow first because it was the lightest. Then I added Red, followed by Turquoise. I huffed the stamp to moisturize the ink and then stamped. Pretty cool, eh?
