A “Wintery” Card using the Aquapainter!

By | January 5, 2016

I had so much fun with this card. It’s just so “wintery’ and fun.  (That may not be a word but I like it)  Plus, I think water coloring is just beautiful.

To begin with, I used a die cut you wouldn’t normally think of for winter (Leaflets). I cut out 8 leaves from Whisper White paper. Then, using my aqua painter and ink pad, I watercolor these leaves if you’ve never tried this before, I highly recommend it is very gratifying. There is no right or wrong way to do it. You simply squeeze your ink pads while their clothes to get ink on the lid, and then you can use your aqua paint art to pick that ink up off the land and for lack of a better word, smear it across your paper. There is no coloring in the lines with this card.

And I haven’t used the stamp set “Words of Truth” very much yet so I’m working on that. I love the font and the phrases!! I apologize, the snowflake sequins are retired now. They are from last year’s catalog. You may also notice the white dots in the background. I tried to make it look like snow. So I heat embossed those with white embossing powder.
