Here’s how to make your own simple wine coasters! Check out the ones I made!
Just grab yourself some felt and your Big Shot. Run the felt through the Big Shot with the Fun Flowers Die. Cut a hole in the center and a slit through one side of your flower and simply slip it onto the bottom of your wine glass. You can even get real fancy by layering them or adding some bling, like I did

Have you used our Blender Pens yet? They are so versatile and can be used in so many ways! Here is one way. I wanted to color in some wording on my card, but have it look faded or give it some dimension. So, I outlined the words with my colored pencils from Stampin’ Up! and then used my blender pen by rubbing it along the lines in small circles. Cute, huh?

And I FINALLY get to share what I did for my Mom for Mothers Day!! I have been taking sewing classes and I made her this table runner and matching card. See the flowers on the card? I used fabric pieces left over from the table runner. A cool way to incorporate fabric into your paper crafting!

Today I’d like to point out on of my favorite blogs, if you haven’t seen it yet. It’s called Operation Write Home. This is a FANTASTIC site dedicated to sending our homemade cards to those active in the military. We send them blank so that they can use these cards to send home to loved ones. How special is that? A couple of years ago, we had a fun day making 110 cards here at my house to send overseas. It was a lot of fun and I’m sure it put a lot of smiles on the faces of military families
There are some cute cards posted on there today.. go check it out… This was my favorite, and was made by “Holley’s Hobbies“.

Happy HOT Saturday. Whew…. it’s indeed a hot one for New England today!! It’s not even June yet and supposed to hit 90! WOW!!!!
Today I’ve got a video to show you from eHow.com that shows you how to use ink in your scrapbooks. Ink is a great tool, not only for greeting cards, but to make every element on your scrapbook page look like it stands out!
Okay, so now that you watched my video tutorial on how to make these tulips, here is a card I made with them. The stems are from a stamp set that is being released with the new catalog next week Some of you may have already seen it in workshops or classes!! Speaking of which, you should have received your catalogs today if you are a subscriber to this site and have ordered from me in the past. I love fresh veggies but DREAD all the prep work and weeding and watering.. Hmm.. well, that’s basically all of it, huh? Oh well.. I give it a whirl every year and sometimes I get lucky, like last year we had a great crop of string beans, tomatoes and dill. What a combo eh? I tried watermelon, pumpkins for the 3rd time and lettuce. EPIC fail!
Anyway, here is a no fail way to add some greens to your life by using our sketch from last week
This is a great card for Fathers Day! I used our old Woodland Walk paper along with our Lovely as a Tree and Everyday Flexible Phrases (retired) stamp sets. I also used crystal elements to cover the tree. Want to use some of this paper or make this card? No worries, come to project night on June 1st, I’ll have some kits made up for you! And stay tuned tomorrow for my cutest tulip card and video!

Well, it’s the fourth Tuesday in a row with rain. Yuck! But hey, at least it’s not the weekend right? Speaking of weekend, last weekend we celebrated my husband’s grandmothers 83rd birthday. It was a special day because she has been in the hospital for the past 2 months. I used today’s digital downloads to create an 8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook page. So sweet. And don’t you love the flowers? They are offered in today’s downloads and only $3.95!!!
I also created this card using the button buddies.. the download came with the card template which I modified. This would work great as a hybrid card by just gluing on some buttons!

We’ve all had ‘em. Today is that day for me. Everything is bugging me today. The house has been a flippin mess for 2 weeks because we are re-doing the floor in the living room. My lawn hasn’t been mowed in weeks because of all the rain and looks like the amazonian jungle. I haven’t gone grocery shopping, the laundry never ends.. ahhh!!!
Sometimes when I feel like this, instead of pushing harder, I just shut down. I can sit at my desk for hours and still get nothing accomplished. Sigh… it’s funny because I had such a fantastic day with one of my besties yesterday shopping, eating sushi and even got a little pampering in there… what the heck? I should be full re-charged, no?
Oh well, maybe I should clean up a little bit and organize? What do you guys do when you have “one of those days”?

So, last week was teacher appreciation week. This year was VERY different for me because we moved our kids to a new school. Last year I was in charge of Teacher Appreciation week and let’s just say.. well, I’m glad I didn’t have to do it this year 
While every school has their own traditions on how to handle showing their gratitude for teachers, I decided that we would just do our own “thank you’s” as a family. So, we made our teachers these cards. Now, I did not use Stampin’ Up!’s paper, but I just loved the teacher “stuff” all over this paper and couldn’t resist. I did use our pendant punch and on the inside I stamped
“Thanks. Not only for all the big things you do, but the little things too”.
I feel very lucky with who my kids have as teachers this year. VERY lucky.. especially my 2nd graders teacher who has been so amazingly awesome! Love her. We’ve experienced both ends of the spectrum at both schools- teachers we like and some not so much. This year, though, our teachers definitely deserved a card.
p.s. No-one compares still to Ms. Pollone, Mrs. Hilli and Mrs. Lomme SHOUT OUT!

Greetings friends!
Today, May 15th, is National Chocolate Chip Day?! Now THAT’s worth celebrating! he he he.. but I digress.. Today I wanted to share a quick layout in MDS using the the 8×8 layout titled “Day in the Life”. This past weekend, my family surprised me and took me away for Mothers Day to one of my favorite vacation spots.. S.Yarmouth, Cape Cod. It couldn’t have been more perfect I hope we can make it a tradition! And for those of you who have never been off season, I highly recommend it. No traffic, no lines for restaurants and the beach all to yourselves!
And let’s not forget the big announcement that MDS is going to have an update in late 2012! I am ecstastic to see the changes. NO, really.. ECSTATIC. I love digitally scrapbooking and this program makes it SOOO easy. In fact, my dear friend Missy is loving it so much that she now wants to teach a class on it he he.. I may take you up on that girlfriend
